Terms of Service
General Terms and Conditions (ÁSZF) for the FakturWire service.
These terms form a binding contract between you ("Customer") and Csapó Ádám László E.V. ("Provider", "we"), governing your use of the FakturWire website and API ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these terms.
1. Provider
The Service is operated by Csapó Ádám László E.V., Individual entrepreneur (egyéni vállalkozó) registered in Hungary. Full identification, registered seat and contact details are in the Legal Notice. Contact: hello@fakturwire.com.
2. The Service
FakturWire is a developer API and set of web tools that validate invoices against EN 16931 and national rulesets (Peppol BIS 3.0, XRechnung) and convert invoices into compliant e-invoice formats (Peppol BIS 3.0, XRechnung, Factur-X), and extract structured invoice data from PDFs. Features that are marked as upcoming are not part of the contracted Service until released. The Service is provided on a business-to-business basis and requires technical integration by the Customer.
3. Account and API keys
- You must provide a valid e-mail to register and keep your details accurate.
- Your API key authenticates all requests. You are responsible for keeping it secret; anyone holding it can use your credits.
- If you lose your key, you can issue a new one via email-based recovery, which revokes the old key.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys.
4. Credits, prices and payment
- The Service is pay-per-use via prepaid credit packs. Current packs: €19 / 500 credits, €49 / 2,000 credits, €199 / 10,000 credits. New accounts receive a limited number of free credits.
- Operations consume credits (e.g. validation 1 credit, conversion 2 credits). Prices are shown on the pricing page and exclude VAT.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. A lawful invoice is issued via Billingo. For EU business customers with a valid VAT number (verified via VIES), the reverse-charge mechanism applies; otherwise Hungarian VAT is charged.
- Credits never expire while your account exists. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.
5. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
The Service is aimed at businesses. If you are a consumer within the meaning of applicable law, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. However, because credits are digital content supplied immediately and usable at once, by purchasing you expressly request that performance begin immediately and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal for credits already made available (Gov. Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) §29(1)(m)). Unused credit packs may be refundable at our discretion or where the law requires.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to process data you are not entitled to process;
- attempt to breach, overload, or circumvent rate limits, security or credit metering;
- reverse engineer, resell or offer the Service as your own without a separate written agreement;
- create multiple accounts to abuse free credits.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Data protection
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Invoice content you submit is processed in memory and not stored. To the extent we process personal data contained in your invoices on your behalf, you are the controller and we act as processor, processing such data only to provide the Service.
8. Compliance disclaimer — important
FakturWire helps you produce technically valid EN 16931 / Peppol / XRechnung / Factur-X documents and reports rule violations in plain language. The Service does not constitute legal, tax or accounting advice, and we do not guarantee that any document will be accepted by a specific tax authority, access point or trading partner, whose requirements may change. You remain solely responsible for your regulatory and tax compliance and should verify outputs before relying on them.
9. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but provide the Service "as is" and "as available", without an uptime SLA unless separately agreed. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, and update these terms; the "last updated" date reflects the current version and material changes will be notified. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or harm to life or health; statutory consumer rights are not affected.
11. Term and termination
The contract runs until terminated. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may terminate for material breach or where required by law. On termination, unused credits lapse unless a mandatory rule provides otherwise.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Hungarian law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The courts competent under Hungarian law have jurisdiction. Consumers may also rely on the mandatory protections of their country of residence and use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr) or the competent Hungarian conciliation board.
